“Your music was fantastic...so fantastic.”

- Princess Cristina of Spain

Nancy Hurrell

is a versatile harpist who performs on a variety of historical harps. Harp Tapestry programs weave together threads of music from different cultures on medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and modern harps. Audiences are amazed by a buzzing bray harp, the bright metallic Spanish cross-strung arpa and the warm resonance of a classical harp, in this program of time-travel through magical harp sounds.

The Harp of Ireland concert offers a blend of old favorites and new tunes, with a chance to hear the clear luminous sound of a rare two hundred year old Irish harp, as well as a modern Celtic harp. Nancy is a well-known performer at Celtic music festivals, with recent concerts at ICONS Irish Music Festival, Somerset Harp Festivals, and a performance at Birr Castle in Ireland.

Nancy also performs and records with several early music groups, including Exsultemus, Musicians of the Old Post Road, Renaissonics, and Ensemble Trinitas. Festival appearances include Boston Early Music Festival, Amherst Early Music Festival, and the SoHip Series.
